Using SMTP is the " C " in the logged data meant to be " C: "?

Question

When looking at the logged data I see a " C ". Is this meant to be a " C: "?
Or was it by design and the whole statement is "C (430 bytes):"?

"C (430 bytes): " means client sending 430 bytes of data, which decoded using 8 bit encoding look as follows.
